Von Paul Read, b. 1949, is an American painter, muralist and illustrator based primarily in the West Coast of the United States. His work spans cultural influences drawing from everything from cave paintings and prehistoric sculpture and pottery to alchemy, tarot, astrology, mysticism, Jungian psychology, 50s kitsch and Americana, postmodern abstraction, and counterculture iconography.
