Tamar Nachshon is originally from Jerusalem, Israel. After moving to California and developing her style as a painter and sculptor, she received her BFA from UC Santa Cruz in 2010. She later went on to receive an MA in Interior Architecture. She has since been creating work for clients all over the United States; including both public spaces and private residences.
Her pieces deploy abstract shapes in large spaces, using the physical world and representative subjects to experiment with shape, color, texture, and temperature. Although Tamar is most recognized for her abstract paintings, she has produced artwork in a variety of media including wood, metal, paper, plaster, and photography.
